Produced by Justin Meldal-Johnsen -- who found time to assist on this project around sessions with Paramore and Tegan & Sara -- Mind Over Matter is the second album from the California alt rock quintet Young the Giant. It builds on the sound of their Band of Horses-inspired, 2010 self-titled debut and finds them pursuing an original direction grounded on driving, intricate rhythms and heavier guitars. The lead single, October 2013's "It's About Time," is featured.
